Septic Tank and Drain Field

It felt like it took forever to do our septic system. But we got it done and passed inspection!
We borrowed U. Marty's excavator to dig the hole for the tank and also the trenches for the drain field. Monday, November 20th we dug the hole.

Tuesday the tank was set and all the material for the drain field was delivered.
We worked on the trenches Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Had to replace a hydraulic hose on the excavator Friday. By Monday we were filling the trenches with pipe and gravel. Tuesday was sand. Wednesday was sand. Thursday we had the metal delivered for the roof. And had the great intentions of grading out the dirt on the drain feild, but the skid steer failed to cooperate.
And then on Friday we did finally get the inspection...it passed! And then Saturday, we got the skid steer running and finished up the final grading.

So what you are looking at is 980 feet of leech lines!
I did fail to take pictures of the work in progress. It's kind of hard toting around a camara and a shovel at the same time. Especially when you're using the shovel. :)
